I went into the Tum Mere Ho teaser curious about the pairing, and came out thinking this is exactly the kind of big-screen, high-emotion romance I want more of from Bollywood. Directed by Aashish Panda and written by Niranjan Iyengar and Purva Naresh, the film stars Gurmeet Choudhary and Isha Malviya, with Ashish P, Shaan R Grover and newcomer Anushkaa Luhar also in the cast. It is produced by Aarti S and Debina Bonnerjee under Reva Creative House and DebGuru Films, co-produced by Romanch Mehta and Amman Riyastee, with PVR Pictures distributing. The film is set for a theatrical release on October 23, 2026.
That is the package. The teaser itself is less interested in explaining the plot than in making you feel the relationship. It pitches Gurmeet and Isha as two people caught in an intense romantic connection, full of emotional moments and stylised visuals. I like that the film seems willing to talk about how modern relationships have shifted, with casual connections and situationships as part of the backdrop. If the full film keeps that tension between old-school intensity and contemporary uncertainty, this could be more than a glossy love story.
What the teaser promises
The teaser promises mood, chemistry and music. The background score is doing a lot of the heavy lifting, which is a good sign given the line-up of composers: Mithoon, Sanju Rathod, Vivek Verma, Krish, Uddipan Sharma and Arjuna Harjai. Lyrically, Rashmi Virag Mishra, Mithoon, Azeem Shirazi, Sanju Rathod, Vivek Verma and Geet Sagar are attached. I expected a certain sonic polish, and the teaser delivers that. What it holds back is almost everything else: the central conflict, the supporting characters’ agendas, and the specific reason this relationship is under pressure. For now, that is fine, because a teaser should tease.
The one moment everyone will talk about
For me, it is not one line of dialogue or a plot reveal. The moment I keep returning to is the way the teaser lets its two leads carry an emotionally charged frame with the score swelling behind them. That is the film telling us it trusts its leads, and it is the clearest reason to be optimistic about Isha Malviya’s Bollywood debut.
Where this sits for its star and studio
For Gurmeet Choudhary, this is a full-intensity romantic lead that plays directly to his strengths. For Isha Malviya, it is a proper launchpad, not a decorative debut. For the production houses, it feels like a statement of intent: a strong cast, big music names, and a theatrical push through PVR Pictures.
Honest verdict
I am cautiously sold on the vibe. The teaser makes Tum Mere Ho look like a date-night ticket for anyone who wants their romance grand, emotional and a little wounded. What I still need is a full trailer that shows the writing has more than atmosphere. Right now, the packaging is strong enough to put it on my October list, but the story is the thing that will decide if it stays there.
