Mysaa (2026): the first look. Video: Universal Power Studio on YouTube. Shown for review.

I went into the Mysaa first look expecting a teaser-style mood check. I came out convinced the film wants to be judged on its final war. The glimpse is short, deliberately withholding, and mostly built around one idea: Rashmika Mandanna is not playing it safe this time.

Mysaa releases in cinemas on November 27, 2026. Directed by Rawindra Pulle—whose Sita Ramam showed his feel for scale and sentiment—and produced by Unformula Films, the film is a female-led pan-India action thriller set in tribal lands. The emotional spine, as the makers have teased, is a father-daughter story, and Jakes Bejoy is handling the score. The first look doesn’t spell out that relationship. It lets the action posture first and trusts the heart to land later.

That is what I liked most. The promo promises a physically committed, rugged Rashmika without handing over the story. It gives us dust, bodies in motion, the feel of a battle, and then it cuts. It holds back the villain, the father-daughter context, and almost all dialogue. For a first look, that’s the right call: I want a reason to count down to the full trailer, not a plot summary.

The moment everyone will be talking about is the final beat. The makers have labelled the drop “The Final War Mysaa,” and the cut builds to an image of Rashmika inside that war looking like she has already accepted what it will cost. I won’t describe it shot by shot because the effect is in the landing. It’s the kind of frame that gets isolated, captioned and passed around, and it tells you the film doesn’t plan to protect its lead.

For Rashmika, this sits as the action-forward turn that could reshape how people see her. She has been a huge presence, but here she is the centre of the battle, not the emotional anchor on the side. For Rawindra Pulle, it’s a bigger, more muscular swing after Sita Ramam. For Unformula Films, it’s a pan-India gamble built around a female lead and a war sequence that has to justify the ticket.

My honest verdict: as a first look, Mysaa does its job. It makes the scale feel real, gives Rashmika a moment, and keeps enough hidden to make the full trailer matter. I still need to see whether the father-daughter story works, because action alone won’t carry two-plus hours. But right now, November 27 looks like a date worth keeping.
