Tiger Shroff’s car became a crime scene in Mumbai’s Juhu on Sunday evening, and the police response has now become one of the most closely watched investigations in Bollywood. The Mumbai Police have registered an FIR against three unidentified accused and formed 15 specialised teams to trace the shooters.
The actor was returning from a football session in his car when armed men on a motorcycle opened fire at his vehicle near Pushpa Narsee Park, according to the police account carried by Bollywood Hungama. The attackers fled immediately after the firing.
What we know about the shooting
Shroff escaped direct bullet injuries, though some reports said he had minor abrasions from shattered glass. His driver, identified in reports as Firdosh, took a bullet in the left arm. An autorickshaw driver in the vicinity was also injured.
Both injured men were rushed to Nanavati Hospital in Vile Parle. The driver was stabilised and kept under medical observation; further details about their condition have not been independently confirmed.
After the shooting, police cordoned off the area and forensic teams collected empty shell casings and other evidence. An FIR has been registered under Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with the Arms Act.
The 15-team investigation
The scale of the search is the most significant signal in the official update. Mumbai Police have put 15 teams on the case, with investigators reportedly working through:
- CCTV and escape routes: footage from around Juhu and possible exit paths are being mapped.
- Forensic evidence: shell casings and material recovered from the scene.
- Technical surveillance: to identify the accused and any planning before the attack.
Investigators are also checking whether the gunmen had monitored Shroff’s movements in advance. A social media message purportedly linked to associates of the Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate is being examined, but the police have not verified the claim or established a motive.
Why this matters for movie fans
For an audience that follows stars closely, the incident is a sharp reminder that a public figure’s everyday routine, such as a football session, can become a security flashpoint. It also shows how cautiously official narratives around star safety move in the first 24 hours: the police have confirmed the attack, the injuries and the scale of the response, not a motive.
Maharashtra’s political leadership has already signalled urgency. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reportedly contacted the Mumbai Police Commissioner, and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde later visited Shroff’s residence to check on the actor.
For now, the useful fan response is patience: wait for forensic and CCTV-led confirmation rather than leaning on unverified messaging. The police are treating the firing as a serious crime against a public figure, and the 15-team deployment suggests they know how quickly this must be answered.
